Social Groups
New Vision Autism Center is pleased to announce the beginning of our social groups. Samantha McLean, a behavioral specialist with 15 years of experience, will be providing social groups for three ages:

Ages 4-6 Tuesdays from 4-5:30 p.m.
|

Ages 9-11 Thursdays from 4-5:30 p.m.
|
|
|
Ages 12-14 Fridays from 4-5:30 p.m.
|
This program is designed to increase social awareness through fun and interactive activities. Topics such as negotiating, dealing with conflict, social language, and making and maintaining friends will be addressed. This is a 10 week session and we meet once a week. Come join us for some fun!!
Groups are $25/session, and scholarships are available for those that qualify financially. To participate, families must be registered with the center and their files must be complete. Payment may be made in advance ($250) or at the beginning of each session. Payments must still be made even if a class is missed. Payment may be made by cash, check or credit card.
Participants in this program should have a diagnosis of ADD/ADHD, Asperger’s or very high functioning autism. These students would generally spend more than half of their day in a mainstream classroom. This set of classes is not designed for the more profoundly affected children.
